Our popular Hands-On Science Investigations class is back with Miss Suze! Our labs are grouped into six-week sections. Join us as we learn about and experiment with the life around us! (Each section has it's own description.)
Students may join any session...it is not necessary to have attended from the beginning.
This class is preceded by Hands-On American History, also for ages 6 to 10. Students taking both classes may bring a bag lunch and eat in our classroom, supervised by Mrs. Moll. |
| Discovering Our World (6 Sessions - HSRx Classroom 1) |
| This session we will learn about plants and animals. Highlights include: experiment with fungus and mold; growing our own plant; creating a cell model; animal groups; labs with earthworms…can earthworms hear? Are earthworms sensitive to different colors of light? Finally we will study ants to see how they create different kinds of shelters depending on their environment and how their behavior changes so they can survive in different environments.
