We all know that young children delight in creating, and doing hands-on projects and experiments. So that you don't have to make the mess at home, we have created a series of six-week hands-on ancient times project courses. (Take any or all six-week courses that you would like.)
Following the Story of The World Volume 1, makes it easy if you are already doing that history program this year....but even if you are not...this is an ideal history course for your child (a kid-favorite when we ran it in '06-'07).
Students may be asked to bring items such as boxes, old shirts and paper bags to class the following week.
**This class precedes the Hands-On Science Course for the same age group. Students are welcome to take both classes and bring a bag lunch. (Mom, this is time for you!)

| Let's Dig Into Ancient History (6 Sessions - HSRx Classroom 1) |
| In our first six-week section of the year we will simulate an archaeological dig. Students will pretend they are archaeologists digging up the ruins of an ancient civilization. We will learn about the way of life and early communications of these ancient civilizations…people of the Nile; Ancient China; and Ancient Africa. Some of the projects the students will make and take home are: cave painting; 3-D model of the Nile River; Sumerian name seal; Ancient Chinese pictogram; and a colorful paper coat.
