Tammy
Laird - Home School Consultant
Tammy Laird is a home schooling
mother of four, and owner of the Home School Resource Exchange, LLC near
Harrisburg PA. Staffed with
friendly, knowledgeable home schooling parents, her store offers a wide
variety of curriculum and products as well as classes for home schooled
children and seminars for parents throughout the year.
While coaching parents in all
stages of home schooling and parenting, her understanding of human
behavior and motivation are helpful in solving challenges along the way.
Tammy's friendly and easy-going manner make it easy to "lay it all
out on the table" so you can identify the real problem and start on a
solution right away.
Tammy’s specialty is to use her
extensive product knowledge and client experiences to create personalized
learning programs, preparing home schooled students for college and
career.
She does not have a "cookie
cutter" package or use test results to place your child in a program.
Each family's recommended home school program is based on each student's
learning preferences, interests, abilities and unique
personality. She can combine subject content within the
family when possible and specializes in using the most efficient methods
for reaching academic goals. Other considerations include number of
siblings; babies and toddlers; time available; and family challenges (such
as caring for an elderly grandparent, father working 3rd shift, etc.)
Family dynamics impact each student's learning situation and must be
addressed.
Tammy believes that
families should have a sound plan in order to build skills and knowledge
needed to prepare their children for whatever they want to pursue upon
graduation. Helping our children recognize and strengthen their God-given
gifts is part of our responsibility as parents.
She can help you leverage each of your student’s personalities
into success.
Tammy
is available by appointment to speak to your group and for personal
consultations in her Lemoyne office or by telephone. Click
