Acceptable Items

We evaluate items for consignment based on condition, desirability and market demand. Some items may not be accepted, or may be accepted on a donation basis.

Unacceptable Items

Outdated curriculum; dusty, dirty, or items in poor condition; items with missing pieces; incomplete workbooks or workbooks which are written in beyond first two pages; books with "questionable" content; items which are not in demand; items which look unappealing; Golden books, coloring books and grocery store type workbooks.

How to Consign

Drop Off (3 boxes or less)	By Appointment	Ship
Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail in each box. Although you will not get a receipt, we will call you if there are items we cannot accept. We ask that you pick them up within 5 days.	We will review your items while you wait and return any unacceptable items to you that day. You will receive a list detailing the number of items being consigned.	You can ship your consignments to us using any method you like. We like U.S. Mail book rate. Our address is Home School Resource Exchange, 902 Market Street, Rear, Lemoyne, PA 17043. Upon receipt of your items, we will mail you a list detailing the number of items being consigned. (Unacceptable items will not be returned.)

What does HSRE do with my consignments?

Your items are priced and entered into our computer tracking system. Consignments are processed in date received order. We actively merchandise your consignments for a term of one year.

Payment

Consignor receives store credit on orders, in-store purchases, classes, seminars, and consultations in an amount equal to 50% of the selling price.

What do you do with my things after the one year term?

If you would like your unsold consignments back after the one year term, it is your responsibility to notify us during the thirteenth month. Please call to make an appointment to come to get your things. This gives us an opportunity to have them ready when you arrive. Items not picked up after the thirteenth month become property of Home School Resource Exchange.
